About Me:
Blessed to be married to a woman that has stood by me or nearly 18 years, with two wonderful (most of the time) children. I write whatever God leads me to, enjoy speaking in public, debate, act (whenever possible) and play guitar (more like playing "at" guitar). My personal scripture is Proverbs 3:5-8 (sorry, not very original but it speaks to me).

Something interesting about me...hmmm...Last year I read the NIV Bible, nothing interesting there. As I did not have an reading partner to keep me accountable for completing the straight-thru reading, I recorded the entire reading and uploaded every one to my soundclick site (listed below). Then I chose to leave them there for free for anyone to download and listen. They are not great recordings, but I pray that God uses them for His glory. For the numbers geeks (like me), the recordings add up to about 75 hours, and I estimate that the entire project took about 300 hours to complete.

Now when someone tells me they don't have the time to spend in the Word, I think back to how God blessed me through that experience and think, "You don't know what you're missing."

Somehow…I don't feel safer…(Friday non-fiction)

There are times in life when you experience something that is so frustrating that you leap past tears right to hysterical laughing. This has been one of those weeks, so I wanted to vent a little in hopes that there is a lesson somewhere in all of this that I am not seeing, but can be pointed out to me so that I can find the humor in it. My wife recently turned 40, but as all of us occassionally do she forgot a key event that needs to take place every couple of years around your birthday…you mus… Continue

HE says it's time for me to write again, thank goodness: Witness to the Gospel

I haven't posted this to FaithWriters yet because it still needs some TLC, but I wanted to share my newest endeavor and get your feedback... See, I've been thinking a lot lately about what it means to be a "disciple", and I have come to the conclusion that it means that you are someone that learns, obeys and emulates a teacher (in our case Jesus Christ). So to that end, I thought I would approach it from the perspective of following Him and listening to Him in chronological order though all fou… Continue

Random Thoughts: Vista, a defective hard drive and God's Lessons for Aaron

Well, it looks like I'm back at long last. If you have been following my saga you are probably aware that several weeks ago my hard drive died suddenly and without warning. Well, not really without warning, I just didn't heed it. See, approximately four days before my hard drives demise I received an email from Hewlett Packard urging me to get their extended warranty, which. of course, I declined (not being a fan of extended warranties). Then *bam* I lost everything...all my pictures from Disne… Continue

8 Random Facts - Aaron's edition

I was tagged for this game by Lynda Schab. Although I am new here and do not have 8 people to tag, I will play along: First, the rules: 1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules. 3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. 4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog. *… Continue

Catastrophic meltdown in my little corner of the technical universe

Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I am not ignoring the many great comments and discussions going on! My server suffered a hard drive meltdown...and like many times before I was lulled into complacency by an excellently operating computer and did not backup my system as often as I should have (which I would have done had my computer not been such a sweetheart). Anyway, wanted to ask you all for prayer as most of my materials are on the ill computer and patience while I get rocking again.… Continue

Hi
Hopes are planted in heart's garden where dreams blossom into tremendous treasures. Never lose hope because doubts hinder God's power. For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations. Psalms 100 wish you a good day Greetings to your family.

Thank you for the beautiful comment Aaron. So sorry about your computer meltdown. I've been trying to back up my vista but it only backs up so much and seems to repeat itself. It says alot of your character that inspite of technical difficulties your character has not melted down and you thought enough of your friends to offer an explanation. Thank you for being a great Christian friend.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes, Aaron! We did have a wonderful day - no Klondikes in the house but I did give him his favorite - a snickers ice cream bar. LOL. Be blessed...

Aaron ~

Your very welcome! I am glad that you liked it and that it was there when you needed it.

Thank you for asking about Bradley's work... things got pretty bad for awhile... one day he was suppose to get off at 7pm and about 2 minutes before he was ready to leave, they made him stay until a little after midnight. Anyway, I thank God that the Lord brought another, better job his way.

His friend that he worked with in the past just bought the rights to a franchise for everything east of the rockies and international. She is going to have him be her sales manager/director. He begins training on Monday.

The great thing is that the hours won't be as bad, he will only work during the week and he still gets all the qualities that he loved in the job before. It was a little scary there for awhile but the Lord provided and we are so relieved!!! LOL - :-)
