This afternoon, before i walking home, there's a farewell party in my office. This farewell party was dedicated for one of my supervisor, the Program Director. Her name is Lynn. She is, really a great and funny person. Her physical was quite huge, but it doesn't stop her for being funny and full of joke. Although she is quite a funny person... but her leadership was great also. In a stress time, she managed to stay calm and can execute even a difficult decision. Well, she work at my office quite long enough, and this makes her become a favorite for many of my colleagues.
At last, this is the time for her farewell party. She have to go back to Portland to fulfill her promises to her son that she will quit her job for spending her time with her son there. Many people feel sad because of her resign... that's why for the last moment, many people bring a memorable stuff for her before she go. There's a lot of stuff: Ulos (Indonesian traditional cloth), caricature photo. calendar with team's picture, and many other. Each team has given the best stuff for their ex- leader... and i saw that many team give their present with a will to give the best they could.
So, from this perspective... i now understand how we can give the best thing for our GOD. If only for a human, we give the best present... at least in this life we should... or maybe must give our best only for GOD. GOD want the best thing from us, GOD want the best ever from us. Although if we compare it with His present: The Son of GOD that willing to die to redeem us, it means nothing... but want to see our heart, our motives.
I think that's it. This is only my short insight that suddenly i have from this moment. Off course i'm gonna miss her too because i respect and honor her. But that's life. There's a first meeting and also there's a farewell. What matter now is how i can give the best for GOD. If i can give the best for human, means i have to give the best for GOD too..
My first blog post in GOD linked... hope i can write more in number and quality.
GOD bless...
