- I'm the mom of 3 great kids (yikes! those kids are all in their 30's - where did the years go?), step-mom of 2 beautiful women, and grandmom of 7 with another on the way. Praises!
I've been married for 10 years now to Paul and we live in a little country suburb with our 2 adopted greyhounds (Johnny and Nosey), 2 adopted cats (Gunnar and Gracie) and our working border collie (ZsaZsa - she and Paul are on the area Search/Rescue/HRD team).
I have so much to be thankful for (did I tell you I still enjoy lunch with my 93-year-old independent mom?) and as I approach the next decade of my life am realizing again and again how richly I have been blessed. My Christian up-bringing started me on the right path and though I've certainly strayed more times than I would like to admit, my Lord has always searched out and rescued this wayward lamb of His. As I look back and see how He has always protected me and provided for me when I saw no way, I can look toward the next tier of life and know that God will continue to be with me and work for my good. Hopefully my eyes will be more alert for the opportunities to serve.
I'm finding my full-time work as an RN, at the ripe old age of almost 60, to leave me little energy for hobbies. But I do love reading and rubber stamping (though my room is such a shambles right now I've hardly been able to kick in) and promoting rubber stamps and scrapbooking (I'm really a hobbiest but also an Independent Demonstrator for The Angel Company).
I'm just getting into this website stuff and am hoping, this year, to get my own website up and running...perhaps get my stamp business going again. Ahhh....who knows?
As summer approaches I look forward to opening the pool. The thought of lolling around and getting a little exercise and lolling around and having water fights with the grand kids and, oh, did I mention lolling around?...Ooooo..sounds so good!
